AS, what about mutual fund investors. Should they refrain from redeeming their shares? For how long?

That my friend is quite enough now. How dare you make a veiled reference to these people as traitors.

You have made your point many, many times. We understand what you are saying. These a tough times and you are not helping. It is more likely that you are part of the problem now imho. The market will do what it is going to do and the folks that sell shares on Monday, some of them well-known brokers or individuals, do not care about your losses.

Were the people who died in the WTC evil if they had a preference for the short side? Many people who made it through the carnage might even short on Monday. Are they evil?

Is someone evil if they sell on Monday because they are scared and want to protect their assets?

Let's move on to a more adult level of conversation please.

American Spirit--<<The following traders have posted negative posts about American markets today. Let's watch them carefully.>>
Great idea, let get dossiers on them too. Since they are obviously unAmerican lets have them arrested and held for a few years in a hideous prison. Come to think of it they undoubtably deserve torture too for this treason.
Would you stop and listen to yourself.
Druss

Hey Joe McCarthy you're the man. Let's round up those of Arab descent and lock them up too. You're on to something. Fact is everyone on the CFZ actually has black hair and blue eyes and were all born in the same year down in Brazil. It's true. With you as freedom's point man, how can we ever lose?

DRUSS, you beat me to it.

He's such an IDIOT - it's almost like some bad joke.

I want to rally everyone to short more so those throbbing
blood vessels of yours finally burst and relieve enough pressure
so that you can get back to being normal like everyone else.

If we don't do it soon , the pressure will just build until there's an even bigger explosion....

SAVE AMERICAN SPIRIT ! ! Short early and often ! !

God Bless....

If you are so concerned, better not go long either.

There are many scummy little stocks that will rise because they are in the airport security business, or the bomb detection business, or ... but they are really nothing but worthless scammy little nothing companies. Make sure you don't go long any of these that are likely to get the big pump-a-roo on Monday.

Even legitimate companies will profit from this disaster, don't go long any of those either. Its just not right to profit directly or indirectly from this disaster.

In fact, given your the purity of your motives, and magnitude of your intellect, I would recommend you stay out of the market for an extended period. This would surely set the best example. Please continue your noble campaign. If there aren't any sellers or buyers either we can all just keep our pure memories intact.

You'd better wake up and smell the coffee. Those nice, happy people in clean suits that come on the TV and tell you to hold on are not what they seem:

The Marionette of Wall Street -- Abby Joseph Cohen has been rumored to be able to speak even while drinking a glass of water -- more evidence that her prediction of S&P500 to rally +38% (to 1500) by year-end is likely "wired" by Uncle Goldman. No respectable analyst, however bullish, would make such a strong projection in the current fundamental environment! Goldman-Sachs' earnings are largely dependent upon a continuation of the bull market -- Ms. Cohen's personal holdings in GS stock may offer a partial clue to her published outlook -- GS insiders collectively may offer even more perspective. According to Edgar Online, there are several accounts of interest: Abby Joseph Cohen, The Abby Joseph Cohen 2000 Family Trust, The Abby Joseph Cohen 2000 Annuity Trust I, The Abby Joseph Cohen 2001 Annuity Trust I, The Abby Joseph Cohen 2001 Annuity Trust II. For the period of September 25, 2000 through November 10, 2000 Ms. Cohen personally sold 10,000 shares and GS insiders sold 7,897,714 shares. During the time of these sales, the GS stock price ranged from $130's to $80's, at an average of about $100 per share, that's $790 million for insiders and $1 million for Ms Cohen. It was on September 14, 2000 when Ms. Cohen announced in public her projections of DJIA 12600 and SP500 1575 by year end (2000). The most recent Edgar data shows GS insiders sold 6,677,370 shares from 6/27/2001 through 8/3/2001 with the GS stock price between $80 and $91.50 -- that amounts to $534M to $611M. It was after this bout of selling (8/21/2001) that Ms. Cohen announced that she was lowering her year-end S&P500 projection from 1550 to only 1500.

Above from the Cyclepro site.

Furthermore, you'd better wonder about all those companies that come on and issue press releases about how things are OK:
