Yes. I work near a flight pattern for an airport, and I can't remember anytime I have ever left our office under blue skies and seen no airplanes in those skies. It's eerie.

I can go on my deck anytime the sky is clear and see con trails or jets. It's been a strange couple of days.

Lost1,

I live in an area where we rarely see planes. The oddest experience for me was on Tuesday when I was heading to Pittsburgh. I saw the news about the WTC and Pentagon. I was leaving a store, and I saw a plane in the sky, my first thought was, it was odd to see a plane there, so low and not in a normal flight pattern in the Pittsburgh area. I drove 10- 15 minutes to my mom's house. I told her about the "odd" plane I had just seen. A few minutes later on the Pittsburgh news broadcasted the information about the crash in Somerset County.

Interesting development in the Pittsburgh area that has been reported in the news paper but not I have not heard it on National television. A Palestinian man, a doctor, was reported absent by his landlord. His apartment in New Castle PA was search by the FBI. The found Arabic flight manuals in his apartment. There is an all-points bulletin out for this man currently in Pennsylvania. He was said to have rented a car at the Pittsburgh International Airport. A red Grand Am and is said to in route to Quebec.

Yes. I live in fly-over country and contrails are always visible, 'til now.
