No surprise. Consumer Confidence down sharply. "Consumer confidence fell sharply in early September, according to Bloomberg reports about the University of Michigan's monthly survey. The index dropped to 83.6 from 91.5 in late August, the report said. Economists were expecting the index to stay at about 91.1 percent, but those predictions were made before Tuesday's terrorist attack." (from CBS Marketwatch)
