Those wondering who this war will be against may be interested in the following. The U.S. has since Clinton's first term maintained "Terrorism Sanctions Regulations." Those regulations identify seven countries as supporters of terrorism and contain a several page long list of Specially Designated Terrorists or SDT's. The seven countries are Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria. The Taliban-controlled areas of Afghanistan were later sanctioned under a separate program. Here is the government information pamphlet about the Terrorism Sanctions (including the list of SDT's starting on page 2) and about the Taliban sanctions:

treas.gov (Terrorism sanctions)
treas.gov (Taliban sanctions)

Gloop,

To compound matters I had no time today to fix what I obviously botched

As we all know, the fluidity of online conversations is sometimes interrupted by the ongoing realities of life. This is something that happens in 2D conversations that we all are aware of, but is easy to forget. Online communication is relatively new to our culture.

There was a gap today in the fluidity of this morning's discussion today between mr.mark and me.

We have a good thread here. We came to SI because of the markets, we've stayed because of the unique and profound experience of communicating across the void.

I just hope we keep asking questions and offering insight as that is the only way we can further our knowledge of ourselves and the world around us.
