Anyone have a credible source for total US daily oil consumption? I saw one reference to an average of 20 million barrels a day, but cannot confirm it anywhere. A brief search on the web turned up nothing substantial. It might
be an interesting national goal to to a weekly, or monthly report of US Oil consumption and make a big deal out of it. (Kind of the like the national debt signs of the recent past). It is my firm belief that US addiction to foreign oil has created this entire Middle East situation. When you consider that Iraq would have controlled at least 25% of the world's known oil reserves if it had successfully taken over Kuwait, it takes no genius to figure out our policy motivation there. Same with Saudi Arabia.
