Hello. I am happy to return home and find all those I care for here still here. I worried of E. And thought of Karen and those she might know. I spaced out on Rambi being connected to AA and that they must know personally, or at least care about these people. I know Dan cares deeply about those who with the business he works in and involves himself with them. One of the more tearful moments in my 15 hour drive today was while going through Rambi's land of Virginia. Around 10 this morning a man had called in on one of those "this caller gets tickets to blahblah" things. He won, but said he wanted to contribute 50 bucks to the Red Cross. Well, they took that and ran with it. At around 2 this afternoon callers in range of that station had gathered over 23 thousand dollars. Business's were taking up collections, with some them matching what the employees put in, plus the individual callers. All to send aid to N.Y. and D.C. 23 grand in 4 hours just over one station in a remote part of Virginia. Awesome. I heard Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud to be an American" with cut-ins of audio from the attack at least 50 times in every state I went through. I am not surprised that I arrived here to some ugliness. That is to be expected from the unusally small minds of some who inhabit this space. But there is beauty, too. And beauty is 95% of what I experienced these past days. Screw the 5%. They are only in the way. To be continued...
