señor guitar-

talked to juan (my bro)... he had some interesting
things to say.

1) they were not allowed to wear their uniforms
outside of the secured area.

2) armed federal marshals in the jump seat (third
seat in the cockpit right behind the pilot and
co-pilot) will probably be the solution.

3) it's going to take hours to clear security. people
who are flying less than 500 miles will drive instead
of fly. he rode the bus home faster and easier than
he could have flown.

4) he was concerned with crowded skies. too many
flights bunched too close together... said the next
airline disaster we see may be a plane flipping
out of control from wake turbulence. they're
running planes too close behind each other to
expedite heavy schedules. he's almost lost control
in wingtip vorticies twice in the last few months.

i didn't ask him about live cameras but here's my take.
i don't want an f-16 shooting me out of the sky because
they see a hijacker in my plane - i at least want a
chance to overpower him before i'm shot down by cap'n
rambler (he's a good shot and he's trigger happy from
too much simulated combat). <G>
