This is what I believe is going to happen.

1) The USA has suddenly changed into a military state. The Arm forces will be able to move with much greater latitude. The main focus of the Bush administration is going to be the WAR on terror. This war will go one for years. The military industrial complex might grow by as much as 50%, the momentum will be hard to stop. Countries will have second thoughts about a USA as a warrior nation. We will not care. We are about to take out the bin and the country he has been in. Any country that has supported the BIN will feel the force of the new USA warrior nation.

2) Companies will rethink about massing all their employee in one place. Redundancy not only in equipment but employee will take center stage. Data back up will be more and more real-time, not just to one location but multiple location.

3) The building of 100 story or more buildings will stop. We will see more campus like corporate headquarters.

4) telecommuting will take off. The fact that communication was problem during the attack will refocus and reenergize the telecommunication sector as will the need to rethink how we conduct biz.

5) If there is another attack the country will go berserk with fear and anger, and will only quicken the above changes.

6) The market has bottom for now, but as the war goes on, the threat of failure during the multiple operation that could happen will only increase. We might end up having little Vietnams all over the place. Unrests and demonstrations will increase as the WAR drags on. If success is not quickly apparent the market will dive. Bush not only has to fight this new war on terror but will have to fight an economy that is bruised and scared.

8) Planes will have random armed plan clothes men on them. Since these cowards will able to take over a plane with plastic knives, there will be no way to stop others to do so in the future unless they have armed marshals in the planes. They could tape them the knives to their bodies. There is no way the public would go for pats downs before they boarded planes. We might start to see new types of whole body x-ray systems. Cockpits will be redesigned to prevent easy access. The pilots might never see the rest of the crew during the flight.
