RE:"How do you know that Bin Laden does not have fifty more teams with trained pilots, ready to do the same?"

Oh you can bet on it...on the other hand how do you know they don't have other methods in the breech...?

Saturn,

re: Kamikazee Hijacking changes everything. The " sucess of September 11", will inspire a huge number of potential suicide suicide bombers to attempt Kamikazee Hijacking. How do you know that Bin Laden does not have fifty more teams with trained pilots, ready to do the same ?

Let's be realistic. The only reason they got away with this was because it was the first time. Everything they did in preparation now becomes obvious. It took all their efforts in at least a year of preparation, and a lot of luck.

You can't seriously believe that the country is full of terrorists planing the same thing. Remember, this was the first major non-domestic terrorist act on American soil. The first hijacking in ten years. There are few if any terrorist groups in the world that have the finances or human resources to duplicate what was done.

It's a bad time, but becoming paranoid doesn't help. Sit back and try to get some perspective on the past, the present and the future. This was, is and will be a VERY safe country.

John

"There have been a huge number of Palestinian suicide bombers. With the spectacular success of Sept 11, I am sure that all the potential Palestinian Suicide bombers are looking for ways to get flight training, and perform a Kamakazee Hijacking too. The Tamil Tigers have had a lot suicide bombers, who have acted as human bombs. I am sure that Tamil Tigers are thinking of Kamikazee Hijacking too."

I agree. A loaded airliner beats all hell out of strapping dynamite to your body! A lot more bang for the buck. Every terrorist or freedom fighter in the world is looking to the astounding images in NYC.

I'll bet the next such hijacking is in Asia..perhaps crashing into the Taj Mahal? Or the Petronas Towers in Malaysia?

"A few weeks of disruption and procedural changes, and airplane hardware modifications, are well worth it. "

The proposed and being-implemented changes are merely cosmetic. The next attack will differ in details.

As I said earlier today, easy enough to lease a jet or buy one. All of the proposed changes in finger clippers and boxcutters will not affect owned jets.
