Mark,

I appreciate your tone. I don't know which comment you thought was stupid, but in reviewing my original post, I was too sarcastic. I am generally frustrated by the lack of expression when reading an e-mail. It's impossible to hear sarcasm, irony, wit, that one may be intending.

My intent was to emphasize the sanctity and preciousness of human life. For the last 18 months, I have heard some of us HARSHLY chastise analysts for incorrect calls. I simply need to say that they are human. They have families. They are somebody's child. They are not trying to steal my retirement.

Why does it take incidents like this to realize how stupid and petty we have been? And how long will it be before we get over this rush of sentimentalism and wish ill on somebody else?

It would be fitting for CNBC to compile a list of contributors victimized by this event. I was moved to see Jim Cramer near tears this afternoon. Like you, I hope that no one amongst us judges the value of one's life by the accuracy of silly stock market calls.
