To say this is not going to be a quick or bloodless war for us is an understatement !

A major attitude adjustment is only beginning for our governing elite and most of the public whose complacency in sweeping this de facto terrorist war under the rug for years has finally come back and bitten them hard enough to snap them out of their illusions of invulnerability.

IMO it will take years to win this war with a lot of military as well as more civilian casualties before it's over. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that this will develop into all out, total war with several terrorist harboring nations and that tactical nuclear weapons will almost certainly be used at some point. Hopefully, it won't be us on the receiving end ! But there's no guarantee of that either!

This is going to be a very nasty period of years and it's only just begun.
