You are correct and it is horrifying to think about. However, look at the reverse. We let these people live to do this another day. Except one to five years from now its with biological/chemical/atomic weapons. Those sons and grandsons and millions of others may disappear in a flash of light.

Bush signing a conscription bill would be as stupid as Daschle asking for a reversal of the tax cut, or a bipartisan effort to preserve a $160 billion surplus in the teeth of a deflation...
