She may have some joint oversight of the Commerce Department but the FAA and NTSB are not part of her direct chain of authority. I would expect her or her representative to be involved in upcoming committee hearings on airline safety. One committee meeting will take place next week. I'm not certain if the date and time has been announced yet and I don't feel right about posting the date and time if it hasn't. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Congress is taking quick action to get things rolling on this issue.
