A motto for your approach is: "follow the money"

But who gains? Bin Laden is toast, and so are any host countries, and along the way, anybody on dusty lists on the shelf can now be disposed of, if we can find them; there's one hell of a force being assembled worldwide. If you liked infrared lightshows above Baghdad, you'll probably love the Special Forces stories we're about to hear over the next year or two.

Maybe the Old Guard gets a few more years in power. They aren't ready for the internet age anyway, so don't dispair, the truth will come out eventually.

There's a genuine crime and genuine criminals. Once we get them, we'll have time to see if anybody didn't do enough to prevent this tragedy, for personal gain or incompetence.
