Dear Ratan lal: By your name I am suspecting you might be a recent immigrant to the USA. If so, perhaps you will apprecitate this. JDN

You were right about my being an engineer. I am surprised how you could be so wrong about my being 'a rcent immigrant'. Either you took a wild guess because of my name or my philosophy.

I have been here longer than 1/2 of the born and raised Americans.

I have gone thru personal tragedies also. And just like most people have gone thru the stages of sadness, anger, revenge. What helped most was concentration on gaining inner peace which I have altho I must admit that thoughts of revenge still come to mind from time to time.

The only problem I see is that action should be taken with delibration only after cooler minds prevail rather than in sadness and anger whne the chance of making errors is high. I have seen postings where people want to blow Afghanistan to the stone ages. There are a couple of problems in doing that. 1. its not the people of Afghanistan who are terrorists. They have barely enuf food to eat a couple of times a week. Its the Taliban (whose leader Osama Bin laden is not even an Afghani) who were supported by the US with Arms, funds and training that are involved in terrorism. And they are like cockroaches. You cant get rid of them even if you carpet bomb Afghanistan. 2. The US is still not supporting the exiled general (an Afghani) in the Afghani fight against the Taliban.

All this info is out there but people, in their sadness, anger and need for revenge are coming up with solutions that wont work and that will make ordinary people hate the americans for adding suffering to their already miserable life.
