I see a lot of fat, middle-aged people sitting at computers going through some personal epiphany of "dealing with it" over this random manifestation of mental illness that caused three wild-eyed maniacs to fly airplanes into buildings. These mouse potatoes are angry as hell, and ready to send the neighbors' kids to die in some Middle Eastern hell hole to prove that "you can't mess with Uncle Sam!".

It's now three days after the disaster, and, as has been the case throughout history, it's time for these people to start to be ashamed of themselves-before they cause some real damage to their world.

The president is also understandably angry, and has some very important responsibilities here.

#1, folks, is that he's got to make sure that a rage-and-photo-op-driven Congress DOES NOT pass a conscription bill, no matter how many four-star clowns make impassioned speeches to them. His career as president is, simply, over if he fails to stop such folly.

As for the rest, he has to make sure that his many forces are able to proceed to do the secret and mundane things necessary to destroy any possible infrastructure, both present and possible in the future, that may create such disasters going forward. That also includes making sure those forces aren't WASTED on unnecessary expeditions to obscure corners of the earth, or used to bomb innocents just because the media has managed to give them a bad rap as a race or group.

So perhaps some of you should just log off and say a prayer for the president-and let the neighbor's kid have a chance to grow up to become as foolish as you are...
