The leaders of other countries like Egypt, Syria would themselves like their terrorists gone. They are afraid of them. If leadership is shown by the West then these other countries will then act as well. I think that Tehran is starting to turn. The people there are fed up with the hard line mullahs.

X-squared, you're reading my mind. However, I'd take them in the order of Afghanistan, then Iran. Those are definitely the two big problem governments. For all the evil of Saddam, he has enough smarts to realize the consequences to himself from killing thousands of Americans. However, being religious fanatics, the leaders in Afghanistan will stop at nothing -- even if it means their lives.

X sez: "Teheran and Kabul can not be intimidated"...au contraire...I bet any wussies left standing when we're through takin' it to'em will be most acquiescent and quite easily intimidated in the forseable future...that is IF there are any left standing!

One of the excuses Bush Sr used when my son and other paratroopers, both American and French (he was under French command at the time) were called off and denied by a mere 60 minutes the annihilation of bunkered Sadaam, was this: we didn't have any better "leader" to offer them so they could rebuild" if we target assassinated just Hussein and his generals. If we take them all, then that won't be a problem now will it?!

Yes, nuclear and bacteriological warfare will be used this time, and ALL will feel the effects, yes, even the rest of us. SO BE IT!
