I agree that is a terrible story about the woman & having to back to their desk. I don't, however, feel that analysts or brokerage firms are scum of the earth.

Many are dead and this isn't the time to be calling anyone scum (except for the terrorists).

Most people shouldn't be investing on their own in this market. If they did know how the market operates, then they never would have listened to analysts to begin with.

It's incompetence of investors. They should be reading "Security Analysis" or buying a mutual fund instead of buying Cisco selling at 200 times earnings.

It is hard to believe that the firm would order the woman back to her desk (or that she would obey) after a plane crashes in the building.Perhaps the mother misunderstood.
