I read a few stories where folks called on cell phones to say they were alright it was the other tower hit and they were NOT evacuating the building. On another occasion one told his office to get out. They took the elevator down nine floors to the express floor elevators but they were backed up so they went down the stairs. As they were going down the stairs the intercom came on that everything was ok and not necessary to evacuating the building.
