<Clinton comforting people in NY looked more presidential than Bush has so far.>

Jill...I'm sure that you factored eight years of presidential experience, when you compared the two.

Somehow I get the feeling you voted for the other guy last November.

Please, just let go. It WILL be okay.

I do agree w/ that writer that he [Bush] has been disappointing. He seems overwhelmed, and mechanical in his response.

The Bush-bashing at this terrible time is disappointing. According to a poll, here's how most of the rest of us feel about President Bush's performance this week ...

abcnews.go.com

Excerpt: The public is closing ranks in numbers unseen since the Gulf War. More than nine in 10 approve of President Bush's response, and 86 percent approve of his job performance in general ....

<<Did you see the coverage of Clinton in NY yesterday?>>

Jill: I did see the coverage...Clinton is / was the great communicator. Yet, I feel we should not move too quickly to judge President Bush and his potential. Some journalists are even doing this. IMHO, there is a very emotional side of President Bush. Yet, he tends to be a much more private person than many of the recent Presidents we have had. This new War on Terrorism will define Bush's presidency and will give him a chance to project a new image as well. Even though I don't always agree with Bush I WILL SUPPORT HIM during this challenging time. I feel he has some very wise and experienced advisors around him. It's important for him to clearly communicate that we are in for a long, hard struggle. He will focus our energy on 'a war effort' -- something at least on the magnitude of The Gulf War (yet, it should contain a lot of diplomatic tactics as well). It's important for Bush to reach out and get input from many different sources as he develops our plans to respond to the tragic terrorist events. I feel he realizes that we MUST act in a very powerful and thoughtful way. Lets hope he rises to the occasion.

Regards,

Scott
