IMO......It's nice to see a post with what a believe to be a realistic view. Long term we will survive and prosper. I much better way to view the situation then with such pessimism.

I believe that the U.S. will return to normalcy eventually. I believe that we will be successful in rooting out the terrorists. I believe that the people of the U.S. will demand it.

I saw comments yesterday about how other countries are saying "welcome to the real world, we have been living with terrorism for many years". Well, dammit, just because other people are willing to live with terrorism, doesn't make it right. We are going to demand that the terrorists are eliminated because we don't want to waste 2 hours of our lives going through security checkpoints for a one hour flight. We are going to demand that the terrorist threat be eliminated because we want to feel safe when we go to work AND that ain't a bad thing. It isn't wrong to want to feel safe. And I believe that we will someday get to that point again.
