IT IS NOT UNPATRIOTIC to be a naked short in the market, regardless of the commodity. It matters not whether one is a banker or a depositor, RH. You are being absurd in your efforts to try to draw the discussion around to your favorite topic, the evils of GOLD manipulation ala GATA. How TASTELESS! At one time or another, every commodity has reasons for naked shorting actions by affected players. It's neither immoral or sinful! DITTO for employing capitalistic strategies in the opportunities ahead when the commodity and equity markets reopen Monday. If it weren't for capitalism, we would NOT be able to finance the very military effort we are undertaking concurrently with the disaster relief effort underway!!. Do you really think the legislators in DC ---who just passed the $40 Billion resolution-- passed the hat amongst themselves and collected that much money in a freewill offering? Or will they be counting upon the TAX REVENUES from capitalists and capitalistic avenues to finance the annihilation task and herculean war effort currently underway to deal with wrongs of the last 50 years of failed appeasement and detente' policies of previous dullards in political office and leadership roles here in this nation of ours? If you want to spend your money and LOOK or FEEL patriotic, then buy defense contractors, gas-mask mfgr's, military uniform companies, munitions suppliers, hell, even E-bonds. If you want to buy money with your US$, then buy gold. Take it away from the evil bankers if that's the way you "Feel" or "Think". Oh, and for the record, there is no "Koran for just the Indians" and "another" Koran for just the Arabs. How ridiculous!
