Cooters. True that Israel will not risk their own destruction if standing down appears to do so. They have survived only by being fiercely independant and totally ruthless in defending their country on a preemptive basis.

In the other hand, if a promise to stand down unless ........ happens, was their best option during Desert Storm and may be their best option if hostitities with Iraq resume.
