Since AS is apparently banned from SI now <read that on another thread> perhaps its time to move on and change subjects. I am driving to San Francisco area in about two hours because my flight was cancelled <of course> so this tragedy has affected all of us. At least, I will now take the time to enjoy America <like Big Sur area> instead of just flying over it. Plan on staying over at one of my favourite places in all the world this evening in a cottage type motel that hangs perilously on a cliff with the most stunning views of the Pacific. Jane

Paul, I had some dealings with SI Jeff recently - he is taking a very reasonable stance, giving everyone some slack to vent at an emotional time, but drawing the line at flagrant abuse. AS and others who crossed the line were bounced. We have a good sheriff in town now.....

Paul--I agree with you. The real point is that we are not seeking to silence him. We want him to take his message somewhere else. Free speech does not mean you can utilize any forum you wish, it means you are entitled to express your opinion. He can take his message somewhere else. Despite his name he was becoming more and more rabid and fascist sounding. One of his last posts advocating 'watching' certain individuals on SI because they might do something unpatriotic like short on Monday or say something negative about the American economy was disgusting.
