Iran-Yemen-Meet /POL/
Iranian MP meets Yemenese deputy speaker in Ouagadougou
Ouagadougou, Sept 14, IRNA -- A member of the Iranian delegation to
the 106th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Borkina Faso, MP
Abolqassem Mokhtari met and conferred with the Yemenese Deputy
Parliament Speaker Al-Raie Yahti Thursday.

The head of the Yemenese delegation of the IPU said that his
country is proud of the Iranian government's staunch support for the
Palestinian and Lebanese nations' struggle for liberty.
He also hoped that Iran would soon pave the way for advancement
and democracy inside the country, thus, becoming a good model in
these fields for the Islamic world.

Regarding Iran's power as "the power of the Islamic world,"
Al-Raie hoped that the existing problems inside the Islamic world
would soon be resolved, since according to him, "the (racist) Zionist
regime can easily hurt a weakened Islamic world in the absence of
unity among the world Muslims.

Mokhtari, too, denounced all types of terrorism during the meeting,
expressing regret that during the 106th IPU meeting the U.S.
catastrophe overshadowed proper dealing with Israel's racist policies.

Reiterating Iran's all-out efforts aimed at resolving the
Palestinian crisis, the Iranian MP emphasized that relying on the
Islamic humane values, the world Muslims can achieve the much needed
unity among them, that will in turn enable them to resolve their acute
problems, including the Palestinian crisis.
