Seeker, at this point, I see that our leaders are heading in the right direction. They are some of the brightest men and women on earth. They are well aware of the potential danger to our society. They may not openly talk in our words, for fear of creating some kind of panic, but they are thinking it, IMO.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Defense Department intends to seek authority to call up as many as 50,000
military reservists for "homeland defense," CNN has learned.

The number would be drawn from all branches of the Reserve and National Guard armed forces, with the initial
callup involving pilots and support for "strike-alert" operations.

Officials at the Pentagon also tell CNN the callup would reinforce warplane patrols of American skies to defend
military bases and any other possible targets against attack.
