JRI, I totally agree with you that it is surprising that no news organizations or very little are picking up on how weak cabin security was for the airliners. NPR interfered one guy on the commission dealing with airline security in the US a few years ago and he said that they thought cabin security and airline security in general for suicide bombers was not a big issue as suicide bombers were thought to lose their will as they got far away from their home.
