Re : operations redundancy, things spread out (like Internet "packets"), cell phone coverage, satellite phone coverage, etc.

To me -- one profound (?) observation of this whole situation this week is :

Maybe having everything (or, a lot of things) all in one extremely centralized location is not such a good idea.

Has anyone seen any discussion on this issue ?
