We were having a discussion some time back about racial profiling and the fact that it is a viable tool even if it offends. Best rational thought on it was brought by someone subjected to it. I am a US Citizen, speak perfect English without an accent and lived in California most of my life. But it seems like every time I fly, my suitcase gets thoroughly searched and I get sniffed by bomb sniffing dogs. Nothing like a cavity search, but it is still embarrassing. It is racist and it does bother me a little. But the fact is, someone with the last name of "Ahmadi" is more likely to blow up a plan than some "Wilson". If it can save life, so be it.
