Maybe that's the problem, that people without specific knowledge are reacting emotionally allowing an awfully loose rein to those in politics who normally might not be given serious consideration.

If provision 5 of the Nato alliance is invoked might not the Turks who have tried to get our cooperation against the Kurds use the same provision to force Nato aid for them. You may not be aware of the PKK but your certainly aware that the Kurds in Northern Iraq are under our loose protection and the PKK uses the sanctuary we provide as well as several European countries to plan attacks against the Turkish government with whom they have an old animosity.

Would you support Russian action to conquer Afganistan rather than use direct U.S. military action?

Read the article on "What does Ben Laden want?" on msn.
You will see that we have embarked on a hopeless mission if we decide to start a never ending war against who we see as "terrorists" . Remember they see us as terrorists, killing innocent people in countries where we do not belong.

Once we embark on a neverending war our Congress will erode away our freedoms until we have none left.
