James, is this really the battle of the forces of good and evil as talked about in the Bible? Is this really that much bigger than WW II? Don't you think we are elevating it way beyond it is worth? Terrorism must be rooted out. But definitely, let's not try to call this THE battle of good and evil. What will happen if Aghanis just turn over Osama? Which battle will we fight then? Does our govt have the guts to go after Iraq/Iran/Libya/Pakistan/Afghanistan even after the person we have identified as the responsible one is handed over?

sandeep:

Yes, this is the battle of good and evil... So was WWII... Millions of people being shot and gassed because of their ethnicity... That was evil... The Allied forces, while not Angels, fought against that evil... The anti evil is good...

Even if the Afghanis turn over Osama Bin Laden, he's just one piece of the terrorist puzzle... Those states that have supported and continue to support terrorist activities that kill innocents will continue doing what they have and are doing unless some force stops them... The civilized world is that force... Terrorists or their supporters that kill innocents cannot be called civilized... What they do is evil... The force to counter that evil represents a counterbalance that is good...
