That may be, and I would like the administration to help the kurds, but my response was intended not to address that issue, but rather to point out that it seems that he is unhappy with the status quo, but would be happy if things were the way he wants them, and IMO he's confusing helping people directly by trying to justify his point of view by saying that if things were his prefferred way, then it would be helping people directly. I don't agree with his line of thought, I think he's just suggesting we change sides. (Assuming I have understood his post correctly)
