One cannot hold onto principles in good times and abandon them during adversity. If one does this, what is the point of following any principles at all? Needless to say, I was disappointed the the "reverend"; we should expect this talk from our politicians but not from those who lead a religious life.

I agree. I'll get in trouble for pointing this out, but what the heck. Many today in the clergy do it for money. Many faiths are not sworn to poverty and they need to deliver a message that their people will pay to hear. They like to think otherwise, but this is a simple truth. Even Jesus spoke against praying in public and suggested administering to the poor is far nobler than building a synagogue (church) and yet many do just the opposite in his name. I REALLY don't want to get all the religious people on my case as this is an AMAT thread, but I just don't really trust what is said about "faith" when spoken from those that earn a fee for speaking (often in the form of a basket being passed where the contributions often match how good the sermon was.).

I DO believe that these people believe they are helping and most often do help, but they are biased just as the analysts that say to buy ETOYS/EBAY/AMAZON/ARBA/ etc. to the public just before the lockup ends so the insiders that paid for the investment banking can unload their shares on a public that trusts the analysts.

God Bless America
