Exactly. The key is also looking at exactly WHY these people hate us so much. Doesn't mean giving in to their demands, but looking at our policy and realizing some things may be a bit unfair to certain groups in terms of the peace process is a good first step.

The solution is NOT just buying stocks for the hell of it though. Really if people have free cash, I would say advising them to buy great american companies that are good value (say GE sells off 40% or something) is wise, but telling them to create a bubble Monday is NOT wise. Better to encourage people to give to the Red Cross, etc. I for one will be in NYC all weekend handing out food to rescue workers -- I suppose the Marketwatch CEO will be continuing to hype stocks.

sigh.

That's exactly what the US does. All people that aren't in the category of criminal or terrorist.

It is time for peace. Peace will come after we kill all of the terrorists. Somewhat sarcastic on my part, but I'm pissed and I think about 90% of US citizens support my opinion.

That's what the polls say.

Kyros,

You say: The way to do this is to spread prosperity and hope to ALL people around the world.

Keep in mind that for the competitive imperialist, this is anathema and utterly naive. Winning the game is what is important. Sharing the wealth is a ludicrous waste of advantage. Do those who mouth the homilies of "free trade" have any interest in having millions of Islamic fundamentalists gain a sense of fair play in the dealings of their region with the West by actually being fair? Good grief, no, that would be loser's approach. It can't and won't happen.
