When Iran and other Middle Eastern states try to claim their oil as their own, the U.S. apologists say that we are the ones who provided the means to find and extract that oil and we should bear the fruits of that investment. Well, England provided the means to colonize America, and yet we Americans don't respect their claim to the fruits of that investment.
