Zeev, here is an email just forwarded to me by my sister, from a mutual friend, a current and 28 year Navy man: P -, I'm still in shock over the insanity of what happened. Seeing it over and over again on the news and listening to the radio and TV at work doesn't make it any less painful. This event and it's repercussions, will not go away soon. I only pray and hope that we can quickly identify and verify who carried out this barbaric, cowardly attack on so many innocent people, in the air and on the ground. Clearly the soul of America will suffer for a long time over this. I float between rage and sorrow. Along with most Americans, I want to see those responsible quickly and decisively punished to the point that this type of cowardice can not occur again in any civilized land by any of those who were involved. I'm so very happy for you that your son is safe. I'm sure the time spent without knowing if he was safe or not was torture and I don't know how I would handle the loss of a loved one under these insane conditions. Please pass on to your husband my sincere sympathy for the loss of his friends and fellow firemen. I don't know what else to say other than to agree with you that indeed, God help us all. M - Her husband is a 17 year Manhattan firefighter, retired on disability last year after falling through a burning floor. He responded to the WTC after the first bombing. His entire squad but for one man is now missing. Her son graduated from college this spring and went to work for a financial firm. His office was in one of the towers, but my sister did not know on which floor. As it turned out, he witnessed the the attack on Tuesday from an office building directly across the Hudson. His roommate's brother was at work on the 105th floor of one of the towers, is missing and presumed dead. Tom
