Shorting and put buying is part of a healthy market. Profits are used on our economy. I believe this kind of thinking, that trading is war profiteering, is simplistic and misdirected.

Should security companies turn down business now, or donate their profits to charity? Should those people who had the foresight to buy gold over the last six months give their profits away now?
