I haven't been paying close attention, but it seems that Uncle Sam will bail out the airlines to the extent necessary.

Hi Rambi,

I agree 100% with you. The airlines have nothing to be ashamed of. I am proud of them.. They have provided inexpensive travel for years.. I have never complained about travel expense, or food and energy costs..

And now because of this, my contention of everyone being an ambassador of goodwill is being overturned... Travel from this country and most everywhere is so inexpensive and so important... So important, they should be subsidized by the government, not unlike farmers or any essential activity.. Subsidized by

Providing SECURE airline travel,, Armed visible Sky marshals on each plane, 2 or 3 or 4, etc .. depending on the size. By every government that operates within this country. I would rather have the security ON THE PLANE, rather than before.. Nobody to my knowledge has hyjacked a Concourse.. WE can use the current system to screen out the obvious stuff like now.. But once a person boards a plane, they are essentially captive of marshall law.. No B.S. ..

I mentioned not long ago the IMPORTANCE of airline security, no joking around and I believe it is more important now, because of what happened. IMO, we as people have to be able to move around FREELY and EASILY, for economic and other reasons like bring lasting peace.

Besides, from a selfish point of view, This current thing
has fouled us up for a trip planned to central America in a few months.. Besides I always carry a Swiss Army Knife, a first aid and snake bite kit in my back pack,as we do not always hang around the resort.. I guess I have to check them in my luggage if that is still legal.. If not, I will leave them home, and buy something wherever I land and leave them there.. I AM NOT GOING TO QUIT TRAVELLING.

World peace through travel, is what I say..

Take care,

m
