Jim:Can you explain why we never got any credit from Islam for protecting Kosovo and helping Afghanistan against the Russians...?

The non-fanatics are probably sincerely grateful, at least those few that have access to world news. The fanatics, OTOH, can easily spin it to be consistent with their preconceptions (e.g. fabricated U.S. economic or strategic self-interest).

Jim,

re: The US (Hillary) torched a supposed Christian Nation, Serbia, for beating up on a Muslim territory, Kosovo. Many innocents were killed...
Serbia never harboured or participated in a terrorist attack on the WTC and pentagon...

Um, I think we were trying to avoid genocide, at the least a massacre. Not quite the same as going to war over bank accounts.

re: So now, why do people here get squirrely about taking out a few countries that harbour terrorists that launch attacks on the USA? Seems like a double satndard in the first degree...

The depth of you analysis leaves me almost speechless. And the fact that the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain do not harbor terrorist, I suppose to you is beside the point. "Take 'em all out", eh Jimbo? Kill all dem Musslims.

re: Can you explain why we never got any credit from Islam for protecting Kosovo and helping Afghanistan against the Russians...?

What do you want Jim, humanitarian credit points?

It's not a competition, nobody gets paid. America represents a higher moral standard, at least that's what I was taught.

John

Why do you think the Saudis step in with oil whenever the balance of oil supply/demand gets out of whack? There are several reasons but a least a small one stems from whatever goodwill we have with them. Today in Kosovo, there were special tributes to America all day and donations collected to be sent here.

So what are you expecting.... a Muslim to go up and kiss Bush on the butt? Well don't be waiting too long....I don't think the koran allows kissing on the butt.
