Some Arabs were spotted rejoicing on Ellis Island. Police checked them out; they were illegal aliens.

I think the important thing is to realize that all sorts of disinformation is going to be spread. For instance, I think it was Iran that was saying that this tragedy had the markings of a Zionist attack, meaning that the likely suspect was Israel. I mean come on. All you have to do is use your common sense to figure out the truth. Many Palestinians hate us with the kind of hatred that is born of many years of us throwing our weight around in the Middle East in our efforts to stabilize the area and aid our friends, the Israelis. In addition, their hatred of us comes from their jealousy that our culture and way of life is so successful and has made so many people happy, while they live in daily terror and poverty.

I don't know whether that film was from 1991 or not, but I do know that Saddam, the Taliban, and many other radical fundamentalist Islamic people have said that the U.S. reaped what it sowed. They could barely hide their glee that we are hurting. Our sentiment may be manipulated a little. Sure, I'll give you that. I'm sure all of us grieve when we hear about that guy who had a 12 week old daughter and called his wife from the plane, then decided with the other passengers to rush the hijackers rather than risk more disasterous objectives being hit.

So CNN doesn't have to show old films. All they have to do is show the truth. The truth is horrific enough.

MHA and thread, I thought it was important to completely debunk MHA's post that I've replied to. The article he posted claimed that the dancing Palestinians celebrating after they found out about our recent tragedy was actually old footage from the Gulf War instead of footage from directly after the tragedy. That claim is completely false. Below is an article that says that many Palestinians did indeed celebrate in the streets after our tragedy. Don't let people like MHA and other disinformationists cast doubt on your resolve or your horror at what just occurred. Also, don't let them cast doubt about who our enemies are and where they are located.
Here's the article:

MHA

Having worked in the radio and television broadcast industry I have learned close hand to be very careful of what you hear and see on TV.

I used to edit video tape working with producers and directors that in a few instances would "edit out" critical comments made by who they interviewed and thus would at times critically change the meaning or content of the story.

Broadcasters do this all the time nowadays. TV news has become "entertainment" and what I really long for is good "hard" news reporting without all the editorial comment!

I used to hate working on the production side of engineering and found my passion in the maintenance side of the equipment.

It was fun working on those big Ampex 2" VTR's. Ray Dolby and his team at Ampex in 1956 revolutionized TV with the first true VTR.
