OK, here's my latest thought. (feeling a little patriotic)

I want the billionaires of this country to step forward. (Actually, all the billionaires of the free world). Who has benefitted proportionally more than anyone from the capitalist, free world? These guys/girls/families. I am not saying they didn't earn it, but that very world is being threatened here.

They earned it, and now its time to give a little back in thanks.

I don't think the American taxpayer, facing recession, a deflated bubble, etc. should have to bear the entire cost of this new war. What is 10 million to a Larry Ellison? Or a Michael Dell? They can wipe their rear with that.

I think its time for those guys to step forward, and offer to set up a fund (for whatever purposes) for the gvt. to draw off. Sure, they are taxpayers too, but this whole deal is going to be a regressive tax on the lifestyle of working people, not billionaires. Hell, most of them DON'T fly coach. or even first-class. They got their own toys.

Its a time for patriotism. U.S. has been good to them. Time for them to step up here. Hell, it would probably help their biz. I am totally serious here. It is the right thing to do.
