Perhaps this will pass quickly. The economy and the market were in trouble already before this terrible event. This will accelerate negatively events in the short term. In the long term, the new security measures that will be sought and/or imposed on many businesses will mean an additional burden and cost to running it. I also believe there will be a domino effect from those new and to a degree unknown costs. In short there will be more uncertainty, and we know already how markets love that... not.
