You know dealie, this board, after all is said and done, we are all Americans together. And one thing about being American is freedom of speech which means expressing opinions and though we may ruffle our feathers a bit we know we're all friends.

And I know for myself it has been very strange. My friends up here are going through the same experience of: shock and numbness at first. It's too big to process. The WTC is emblematic of the spirit--hubris--reach--perhaps even arrogance both beautiful and terrible--of NY and of America. I think of the name of the restaurant at the top; Windows on the World. Not Windows on NY or Windows on America but Windows on the World. I know that part of me is altered forever, part of my spirit is buried with that part of the NY skyline. I finally was able to cry this morning. But it's too much for me almost. I can't bear all those faces of all those "missing" i.e. dead. A friend just said they could not face going down, they could not face the carnage. So if I was spouting off this week, part of it was that I was simply so upset. Thanx for listening!
