And remembering that citizens of Berlin and Moscow and Tokyo were once our deadly enemies.

The citizens were not really our enemies. Their leaders MADE them our enemies.

I don't know what to conclude from that, but it does seem to whisper something.

That we MUST be forceful in our effort to give power to the people in form of democratic governments.

Free of corrupt tyrants or rabid religious zealots of any stripe.

If the US is to assist a country, there are strings attached. We MUST demand that the leaders of that country are elected under an environment free of corruption, tyrants, oppression and religious fanatism.

It is not easy, but we already know what the alternative is.

Still, all of the above should not stop us from destroying the animals that executed the attack on Tuesday.

Admiral Yamamoto, who orchestrated the attack on Pearl Harbor, was quoted as saying afterwards...

'We have not won today. I fear we have only awakened a sleeping giant.'

Admiral Yamamoto was ambushed and killed in 1943 by US war planes
