Ted, Falwell is an intolerant windbag. Bin Laden is an evil murder who hates the US and the way of life in modern capitalist democracies. I can see why you would not want to be friends with Falwell but Bin Ladin is enormously worse. Tim, Bin Laden is an audacious enemy. We will learn a lot dealing with him. The fact that killing is not a out of bounds parameter for him does not change who he is. I hate what he has done to the US this week but the worst mistake we can make is misinterpret who is and/or underestimate his prowess or compare him with a Falwell. He is good at what he does. And wrongly or rightly, he is as outraged by what has been done to his fellow Muslims as we are by what he has done to us. ted
