Some Better Sources of Information......

For the past five days we have relied on what CNN and the major networks decided we should view and hear. Good analysis and analytical reporting was in short supply. The human interest stories dominate the news. Visual perceptions overwhelm analytics as they have in American TV for the past 30 years.

For those that are willing to go the extra mile to get a better news broadcast I suggest the following.

1) Try the shortwave broadcasts and seek out the following broadcasters.(these are all English Language broadcasts)

a) Radio Moscow (very good analysis)
b) BBC (England)
c) Christian Science Monitor
d) Radio South Africa
e) Radio France
f) Radio Quebec & Radio Canada
g) A lot from Germany, Luxemburg, Spain, Brazil, Cuba, Poland, Argentina, Japan, and the far East.

Most of these transmitters are aimed at the developing world but on any given night you will be amazed what can be picked up here in the states.

Good Luck...Jerome
