Kash,

I found that transcript of Falwell's and Robertson's comments breath-taking, and not in a good way. Since it is so clear that Rev. Robertson has such a close connection with the "Ear of God", I wonder what it means that the other year, after gays and lesbians held an outing at Disneyworld, he pronounced that God just might "send a Hurricane towards Orlando" in retribution? Did God mumble? Did Robertson mishear him when He clearly said, "blow up the World Trade Center" in retribution? WTF? I thought these guys had a 'clear channel' to God's thoughts.

While we're on the topic of the absurd, those who are counselling that we wipe out terrorism and all its supporters indiscriminately, and without regard to level of complicity, I wonder why the IRA hasn't been mentioned as a target. And does that mean that all the Irish in this country who have or are suspected of contributing monetarily to any Irish relief organization in which money somehow found its way to the IRA should be included in the concentration-camp round-ups. Oh, I forgot - only terrorists that oppose *our* way of life are included. At least so far.

;-)

Kash, I think one of the best things about America is the marketplace of ideas and philosophies. They have the right to voice their opinions, just like we have the right to show our disgust.

But neither of them come close to Osama Bin Laden.

P.S. - If the driver of a minivan fell asleep at the wheel, crashed, and caused the deaths of his wife and children, the last thing I'd want to say to the grieving man is "See? This is your punishment from God for not being an alert driver." As a Christian, I'm ashamed that Falwell and Robertson said stuff that was just as insensitive.

The Rev. Jerry Falwell and religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said the United States was vulnerable to this week's terrorist attacks because the nation has insulted God and lost divine protection

Kash, Falwell and Robertson are the poster boys for bad parenting....you don't eat your beans, God will punish you. Its too bad they get so much media attention.

>``But I'd say this is a wake up call from God,'' Falwell told The Associated Press.<

So now Falwell is claiming this attack is God's will?
