Dear Ron: My wife is a Filipina. I remember HOW PROUD she was when she got her American Citizenship. She INSISTED we go right out and get her an AMERICAN PASSPORT which she treasures. Yet, when I took her down to Miami for the test and all, CAN YOU BELIEVE, NO ONE in the AMERICAN State Dept or whatever its called where you take your test SPOKE ENGLISH!! She took her test in SPANISH which is OK for her as she understands Spanish but I went to the cafeteria to get a hamburger while awaiting her IN THAT BUILDING and had TO POINT to what I wanted. I came away thinking WHAT THE HELL is going on here. But said nothing as didnt want to spoil her BIG DAY. JDN
