It's a big gamble to think you can terrorize the U.S. Yes I'm scared and the Americans in New York are even more scared but once their eyes are opened to how terrorism works they won't want to rest until the threat is completely eliminated ... and this could take a great deal of time.

As cruel as it may sound, it does. Aren't you afraid now?

Terrorism may alter our daily lives, perhaps even dramatically so, but in the end, I do not believe that the civilized (note, I did not say western) world will succumb.

It may be that policy blunders from the past are partly to blame for current events, but the civilized world has shown the capacity to learn and improve. We will effect positive change and build better futures.

Those who choose terror as their weapon for change build nothing. They have lost, no, they have forfeited their humanity.
