If I can add a few cents here...

Completely agree. Separate of the wolves from the sheep is absolutely necessary. We must devise a plan that allows us to isolate the extremists from the Muslim society in general, and then deal with them.

We must be careful in our actions so that we do not simply sow the seeds of the next generation of terrorists. Remember, at the end of WWII, Germans and Japanese were amazed by the help and assistance they received from the US in rebuilding. They had been led to believe that America was evil, that our soldiers were demons, and that our way of life was decadent. Our strategy was simple: defeat them soundly militarily, then show them the benefits of Democracy while helping them rebuild. Sow the seeds of freedom, and they will flourish for generations.
